Rental documents & requirements
Get your documents ready before pickup for a fast, worry-free start — and no credit card required to rent with us.
Renter requirements
- Minimum age: car 20 · van 23 · motorcycle 18 (some models such as big bikes may require older).
- A valid, non-expired driving licence matching the vehicle type you rent.
For Thai nationals
- Original Thai ID card
- Valid Thai car/motorcycle driving licence (not expired)
For foreign nationals
- Original passport
- International Driving Permit (IDP), or your national licence together with an IDP
- Valid visa / entry stamp
Deposit & insurance
- Pay a deposit at pickup, refunded in full on a clean return (less any fines/fuel/damage).
- First-class insurance on every car.
- Multiple payment options: bank transfer / PromptPay / card.
No credit card required
Renting with RodChao doesn't require a credit card — you can pay the deposit by bank transfer or PromptPay. Convenient and accessible, with no card-limit worries.
Pickup steps

Book online — choose pickup/return date, time and branch.

Prepare your original documents as listed above.

Inspect the car and take photos of its condition together before you go.

Get the keys and start your trip.
Rental terms
- 1 rental day = 24 hours · Cars: 1–4 h late costs THB 100/h, over 4 h counts as 1 day · Vans/motorcycles: 60-minute grace, over 5 hours counts as a full day
- Return the vehicle with the same fuel level as at pickup; any shortfall is charged by the difference.
- The deposit is refunded in full on a clean return, minus any late, fuel or damage charges.
- Displayed prices exclude 7% VAT (shown separately in the price summary) and a tax invoice can be issued.
